35mm film is a form of photography where images are captured onto rolls of photographic film rather than a digital sensor. It creates photographs with a distinctive, nostalgic look — soft grain, natural colours and beautiful imperfections. It’s a slower, more intentional way of shooting and isn’t for everyone, but if you love images that feel timeless, authentic and full of character, it can be a lovely addition to your wedding gallery.

A roll of 35mm film typically gives you around 36 frames, but not every shot will always be a keeper. Film is unpredictable — a frame might be out of focus, incorrectly exposed or simply not quite work. That’s part of the charm: embracing the imperfections and trusting the process.

I’m currently experimenting with 35mm film and exploring how I can bring it into my wedding work. I already love using film in my everyday photography, so I’m excited to start incorporating it into weddings too. For now, I’m offering it as a complimentary add-on while I experiment and build experience with it in a wedding setting — so you get a few extra moments captured on film, completely free of charge.
